William George ‘Willie’ Quaife. Warwickshire, Griqualand West & England 1894-1928. Large sheet of ‘ledger’ size paper (9.5”x15.5”), very nicely signed in ink to the top of the page by Quaife with his date of birth 17th March 1872, who has then proceeded to write his career highlights below. Quaife describes playing for Warwickshire 1893-1928, being a member of A.C. Maclaren’s team to Australia 1901-2 appearing in five Tests and two in England in 1899, scoring a century in his first innings for Warwickshire in 1893 and in his last in 1928. Scoring 1112 runs and taking 85 wickets aged 54 in 1926, over 1000 runs 24 times (only exceeded by W.G. Grace), champion batsman in 1898 etc. A beautifully handwritten page with gilt to page edges. Very good condition.
