A Royal Doulton Black Boy dinner plate, entitled ‘Ready for Chances’ printed with a boy in red shirt, yellow waistcoat and a floppy hat crouched awaiting a catch (as if in the slips). Green floral decoration to inner and outer rim. 10.5” diameter. Doulton backstamp and number ‘D2864’ to base. Odd very minor firing marks to the back otherwise in good/very good condition. A rarer ‘Black Boy’ title
