Sussex C.C.C. Record first wicket stand 1933. Mono real photograph postcard of John Langridge and Ted Bowley standing in front of the scoreboard at Hove for the match Sussex v Middlesex, 5th- 8th August 1933. The printed title describes the scoreboard showing their record partnership of 490 for the first wicket, Langridge first to fall, for 195, with Bowley 281no (Bowley was out shortly after scoring 283). Sussex declared their innings at 512/3 and won the match by an innings and 65 runs. Nicely signed in black ink to the photograph by both Langridge and Bowley. Langridge also took 5/33 in the second innings, eight wickets in the match. Publisher unknown. Postally unused. Sold with an original mono candid photograph of the scoreboard taken during play with the total at 355 when Bowley was on 216, Langridge 123. 3.5”x5”. Very good condition. Qty 2.
