Sussex v Surrey 1873. Early original double sided ‘Authorised Cricket Score’ card with complete printed and (mainly) handwritten scores in pencil for the match played at Brighton 21st- 23rd August 1873. Surrey (187 & 81/0) drew with Sussex (91 & 207). Henry Jupp top scored in the match with 94 in Surrey’s first innings, Joseph Cotterill making 65 in Sussex’s second innings. In Surrey’s second innings, Fillery and Lillywhite bowled unchanged and wicketless for 72 four ball overs. Printed by Henry Crowhurst, Brighton. Local advertising to verso. 5”x7.25”. Vertical fold, wear to corners, some foxing, otherwise in generally good condition.
