Lord’s Test, tour and County matches 1947-1955. Twenty one official scorecards the majority for matches played at Lord’s, two at The Oval, with printed and neatly handwritten scores in ink. Lord’s Test matches are England v Australia 1948 & 1953, v West Indies 1950, v India 1952, also England v New Zealand 1949 and v South Africa 1955, both at Kennington Oval. Tour matches are the 1948 Australians v M.C.C. and v Middlesex, also the 1949 New Zealanders v M.C.C. and v Middlesex. Some scorecards with original press cutting match reports stapled to verso. Sold with a W.G. Grace Centenary booklet 1948 annotated in red to front, ‘14 July 1948. Gentlemen v Players (Lord’s)’, and a ‘T.C.C.B./ M.C.C. The Centenary Pair 1880- 1980’ commemorative folder of postcards and covers issued by Stamp Publicity, limited edition no. 411/800, with two additional loose commemorative covers. Also a selection of official and unofficial souvenir programmes and brochures covering International Crusaders, Australia tour to England 1948, Denis Compton Benefit etc. Good condition.
