Middlesex C.C.C. ‘A World’s Record. Middlesex v Sussex at Lord’s 1920’. Original mono photograph of Warner, Lee, Hearne and Haig, standing in a row in cricket attire holding their bats, for the match played 22nd- 24th May 1920. Printed titles and players’ names to mount borders. The photograph, measures 7”x5.25”, mounted overall 10.75”x9.5”. Very good condition.
Middlesex won the match by an innings and 130 runs, scoring 543-4 declared in their only innings. All of the top four Middlesex batsmen made centuries, Warner 139, Lee 119, Hearne 116no and Haig 131. Lee also took eleven wickets in the match.
