Notts County Football Club 1905/06 to 1962/63. Two white albums containing printed images, copy and printed images, press photograph, first day covers, players autographs on white cards, trade cards and magazine pictures, many signed. The first album contains early images of the team and players, some original printed pictures from magazines, some copy photographs and images. This first file concludes at the 1949/50 season with an official Notts County Football Club headed page signed by nineteen players from the team of the circa 1949/50 season. Signatures include Tommy Lawton (Capt), Jackie Sewell, Brown, Baxter, Adamson, Johnston, Smith, Rigby, Southwell, Evans, Purvis, Chapman, Eric Houghton (Manager) etc. The second file takes up the story with signed photographs and images of the players including Tommy Lawton, Jackie Sewell, an original two page folding menu for the City Of Nottingham Luncheon to mark the promotion of the club to the Second Division of the Football League, the menu dated 11th August 1950, an official Club booklet entitled ‘Notts County Football Club Souvenir ‘3rd Division South League Champions 1949/50’, an album page signed by the team circa 1950/51 including Lawton, Sewell, Southwell, Adamson, Baxter etc, original press photographs showing a County v Forest ‘derby’ match 1950’s, an official club handbook circa 1949 featuring Lawton to the front cover, an official menu to celebrate Notts County Football Club Centenary 1862-1982’ ,a Tommy Lawton Testimonial programme for the Everton v Great Britain XI match played in 1972, an order of service for the funeral of the late Tommy Lawton dated 13th November 1996, signatures to press cuttings and pictures include Carver, Wills, Jackson, Bradley, J. Taylore, Leon Luety, Lawton, Loxley, Gibson, Jeff Astle, Tony Hatley, Brian Stubbs etc, signed magazine pictures of the teams for the period etc. A comprehensive pair of albums covering this lengthy period of the club’s history
