Manchester City in Europe 1970/71-1981/82. A selection of seven official match programmes for ‘away’ matches in European tournaments and one friendly. Programmes include one from the 1970/71 Cup Winners Cup, Semi-final 1st Leg v Chelsea, Stamford Bridge 14th April 1971, Chelsea won 1-0 (2-0 on aggregate). From the 1976/77 UEFA Cup, 1st round 2nd leg v Widzew Lodz (Poland), match drawn 0-0, aggregate 2-2, Manchester City eliminated on away goals rule. Two versions of the programme are included, the covers very similar, one dated 14th & 28th September 1977 in excellent condition, the other 28th September 1977 with light vertical fold, with different content to inside pages. Three from the 1978/79 UEFA Cup, 1st round 1st leg v Twente (Holland) 13th September 1978, match drawn 1-1, City won 4-3 on aggregate. 2nd round 2nd leg v Standard Liege (Belgium) 1st November 1978, Standard won 2-0, City won 4-2 on aggregate. Quarter-final 2nd leg v Borussia Monchengladbach 20th March 1979, City lost 3-1, 4-2 on aggregate. Also one for the friendly v Rosenborg (Norway) 16th September 1981, City won 3-0. No annotations. Odd minor faults, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
