‘Grand Cricket Match. Yorkshire v. Sussex’ 1886. Early original single sided scorecard with complete printed scores for the match played at Fartown, Huddersfield, 27th- 29th May 1886. In a rain affected match in which no play was possible on the first day, Yorkshire (93 & 173) drew with Sussex (46 & 22/4). Top scorers were W. Bates (63) and L. Hall (50) in Yorkshire’s second innings. Peate (six wickets) and Emmett (four) bowled unchanged to dismiss Sussex for 46 in their first innings, and were the only bowlers used by Yorkshire in the match. Printer unknown. 4.5”x6”. Light vertical crease, adhesive marks to verso, otherwise in good condition.
